Paragon Development Systems, Inc. (PDS) is a major regional Information Technology Infrastructure provider with $100 million in annual sales and a client base in Healthcare, Corporate, Manufacturing, Government and Higher Education. We recently purchased a modern, eclectic building to serve as our Madison Technology Center. After considering a number of audio/visual vendors, we engaged Fearings to design and implement a state-of-the-art projection and control system for our new auditorium.
The space we envisioned posed a number of challenges, given its massive skylight, oversized windows and mirrors on three walls. Company President Doug Fearing was involved from the first walk-through and design meeting, and his team proposed a solution that addressed the challenges and strengths of the space. The Fearings solution was among the most cost-effective I reviewed, and it also made the best use of the audio equipment already on site and the skills of the PDS people involved in the project.
The Fearings solution was a dual-display system built around two Panasonic projectors, a 160” wide motorized Da-Lite high-gain screen, and Crestron controls, including a wireless touch pad. With minimal training, a speaker can control the screen, both projectors, video and audio inputs, and light and sound levels from behind the podium.
Fearings proved itself a true partner at every phase of our relationship, from initial sales call through design, delivery, installation and service. Our salesperson, Chris Hackbart, was able to arrange equipment demonstrations and additional design discussions. As a result, I had a high level of confidence that the projectors, screen and room-darkening measures we had taken would result in a crisp, bright image for our clients. All Fearings people were skilled, punctual, thorough, and honest in their dealings with PDS.
